Perinatal Mental Health

There's a lot that comes with pregnancy, postpartum, and becoming a parent. Some of it is exciting and wonderful. Some of it is harder than you expected. And sometimes, it's a little bit of both.

Maybe you're feeling more anxious or down than usual, having intrusive thoughts that catch you off guard, or wondering why you don't quite feel like yourself. Maybe you're navigating fertility challenges, grieving a pregnancy loss, or trying to make sense of a difficult birth experience. Or maybe things are going pretty well, but you're finding that this stage of life brings up feelings, questions, or changes that you weren't prepared for.

You don't have to wait until things feel overwhelming to seek support. Therapy can offer space to talk openly, better understand what you're experiencing, and navigate these changes in a way that feels right for you.

What We Can Explore Together

  • Anxiety, depression, and feeling overwhelmed during pregnancy or postpartum

  • Intrusive thoughts, persistent worry, or difficulty relaxing

  • Changes in identity, relationships, and expectations after becoming a parent

  • Fertility challenges, pregnancy loss, and grief

  • Difficult or traumatic birth experiences

  • The pressure to feel happy or grateful when your experience is more complicated

  • How becoming a parent can bring up difficult memories or feelings about your own parents or childhood
